Rose Osinde Alabaster 

Co-Founder, Director & Secretary for the Steering Board

Rose Osinde Alabaster has 20 years of experience in development practice as a governance and institutional development expert in the fields of water, sanitation, environment and education. She is trained in water and land governance with specialization in conflict Resolution/Management, international development and human rights. Rose holds a master’s degree from the University of Bradford UK and a Master degree in sociolinguistics (Gender studies) from Moi University Kenya.

 

Rose has worked within the development sectors, working directly with inter-governmental bodies, national governments, development cooperation, UN agencies and INGOs, as programmes Director and as an advisor mainly supporting programme formulation, grant management, political economy and governance assessments supporting legal and policy reforms and enhancing capacities for improved governance and sustainability of interventions. She is currently a member of the Board in the Swiss Water Partnership, (Switzerland); the Co-Chair of the Steering Committee of the Group on Earth Observation (GEO) Global Water Sustainability Initiative (GEOGLOWS); and a member of the Steering Committee of AquaWatch GEO`s Initiative for Water Quality.
